How we helped

A well-known market leading US retailer required the mass migration of brand products to a new software system to future proof its sales systems and drive additional revenue streams for its brand clients, many of which are also globally recognised brands.

Preserving the retailer’s valued brand relationships was paramount. The legal process had to be smooth and hassle free – allowing the brands to sign up to future online opportunities without having to sign additional contracts, whilst ensuring uninterrupted online sales service during the migration.

With over 450 brand clients involved, in multiple US time zones, it had the potential to be a complex project. Any protracted negotiations with individual brand clients could put a tight timescale in jeopardy.

Jason Lysandrides redesigned a standard framework agreement to accommodate all brand clients. By adopting a straightforward, brand and US friendly approach from the outset, future time intensive negotiations were avoided. Sales teams were fully briefed on the impact of key clauses and a standard set of variations was agreed in advance.

The minimum value of contract completions was achieved 4 months ahead of schedule and on budget - opening the gateway for full brand client product migration and enhancement of new revenue generating opportunities for both the retailer and its brand clients.
